NaperDink Triathlon

August 30, 2008

A new Rotary Club of Naperville Sunrise special event premiers on
Saturday, August 30, 2008 from 8-11AM. The NaperDink Triathlon, so dinky
anyone can do it! Meet at Centennial Beach, 500 W. Jackson Avenue.
Registration is from 7:45AM to 8:15AM. Then, take off! Ride your
bike on the DuPage River Trail 2-miles to Pioneer Park, walk 1/2
mile on wooded trail, ride back to the Beach and FLOAT. Bring your
favorite floatation device: inner tube, noodle, blow up
chair/mattress and just relax in the shallow or 15'. You may even
want to show off your dives! Enjoy apple pancake, OJ and coffee at
the picnic tables. Because Adult Float, 9am-10:55am is for 18-years
of age or better, the event is for adults. The Beach opens to all
ages at 11AM.

Registration is $15 and includes apple pancake, OJ and coffee. All
proceeds benefit Rotary projects. Those who may not have a season
pass to Centennial Beach receive a discounted admission fee of $5,
payable to Beach staff. (Normally $6 for residents and $10 for non-
residents.) So, here's a special event for $20 or less. Even if you
don't want to bike or walk you can sign up for the food and
fellowship, and if ye be brave, enter the water.

Register between 7:45 and 8:15 to be included in the apple pancake, juice and coffee order at $15 per person. Yes, this is a WEATHER PERMITTING event. (Don't role over & zzz, come see!)
For those of you without a Beach season pass, Centennial Beach admission will be $5 for triathlon participants. Adult Float is from 9am to 10:55am for 18 years of age and better.
Swim, sun, or paddle around the Beach on an inner tube. The Beach opens to all at 11am.
