The Rotary Club of Naperville Sunrise is actively pursuing expansion for electric project in Haiti and a water filtration system for the community. In April 2010, Sunrise Rotarian John Ball made a trip to Haiti to view first-hand the devisation of the earthquack in Port au Prince, Haiti and to evaluate the need in Duchity. View the report below.
In November 2007, John Ball exchanged banners with club president Raphael Izmery and made a short presentation on our water and electric projects in Duchity, Haiti. The club web site is http://rotarypv.tripod.com/
The project mission is to assist the people of Duchity, Haiti by providing clean, safe drinking water to the village. To improve the quality of life for the people of Duchity and to promote economic development by installing an electrical production and distribution system to supply electricity to institutional and commercial buildings as well as street lighting
