Rotary's International Service is to encourage and foster the advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service. Freedom, justice, truth, sanctity of the pledged word, and respect for human rights are inherent in Rotary principles and are also vital to the maintenance of international peace and order and to human progress.

The Rotary Club of Naperville Sunrise has International Service initiatives to:

  • Provide used bikes and shipping costs to aid transportation and career needs in Lesotho, Africa through Working Bikes and Bikes for Lesotho.
  • Provide clean water for drinking and household use in San Lorenzo El Tejar, Pastores, Sacatepequez, Guatemala alongside Imaginin Guatemala and the Rotary Club of Guatemala Metropoli
  • Provide funding to facilitate global grant acquisition by other Rotary clubs and support individual and organizational service projects.
  • Shelter Box and a global grant by Chicago Rotary Club to deliver medical equipment and supplies to Burkina Faso. 
In the past, our club has embarked on multiple major international projects:
  • 2006-2014 - Clean Water and a School Building in Tikondane, Zambia
  • 2007-2014 - Clean Water and Electricity in Duchity, Haiti
  • 2015 – We co-sponsored a Global Grant with other District 6450 clubs to provide surgical cancer treatment equipment in Umuarama, Brazil
