Naperville Sunrise Rotary

Rotary Clean Sweep is a significant community project undertaken by the Rotary Club of Naperville Sunrise. Twice each year club members roll up their sleeves and provide hands on cleaning, painting, repairs and general maintenance of a needy individual, family or community shelter in the Naperville area.

In the past several years club members have provided house painting, landscape maintenance, building repairs and fence reconstruction services.

Now is the time to roll up your sleeves and help someone in need. Clean Sweep is our club’s “hands on” project. An Aurora house is targeted for the project over 3 weekends (April 19, April 26 and 27, and final cleanup on May 3rd).

The house has 900 square feet, two bedrooms and one bath, and will have to be completely gutted so that tradesmen brought in by Newman Architecture and Chicago Financial can install windows, roofing, flooring, etc. After the tradesmen do their thing, our club will go in and paint, lay carpeting etc. The house belongs to a single mom with 3 of her own adolescent children and 3 adopted children.


	The home. The project includes a new roof, windows, flooring, wall boards, painting, carpeting, and much more. The first step was to empty the house, remove the drywall, gut the bathroom, and replace some of the flooring.







	The house was cleared and the old wall board removed.

Our club reached out and helped a family in need by painting their home and providing minor exterior wood repair. This was a "hands on" operation. No special skills were required, just compassion. We primarily painted, with some minor wood repair. Below are a few of the pictures
